Social Security Number

Katerina and I went to our local Social Security Administration Office today. When our number was called, I carried Katerina up and calmly said, "this young lady would like to get a social security card."

I know the certificate of citizenship is the important thing. But, I still feel like having the SSN is so important. In my eyes, it takes citizenship to a higher level of proof. As if it is the absolute proof of Katerina being an American.

I know it is probably crazy but that is how I view it. In a couple of weeks, she will have a SSN and a SS Card. :)

Weekly Post

It seems I will be posting updates once a week now.

First update is, this little girl is more work during the day then I thought. I thought I would be able to get a couple of hours of paying work in while she napped each day. Well that is not coming to fruition which means more night and weekend work. She is worth it though. I find myself tired and some days napping when she naps during the day. It has only been a week since Kelly went back to work and I already feel run down. She is a hand full but so worth it.

More tomorrow when I will not be keeping Kelly up with my typing.

Big win for Red Sox

Kazmir had been pitching well for Tampa Bay and did so again this evening. Lester nearly equaled him which was huge. But the Lowell homer and then Coco Crisp coming through with quite big with the Yankees getting pummeled. So big win for the Red Sox. Hopefully they can put together a nice homestand and spread the distance between them and Yankees.

Sump for Reef Tank

The different options and ways to create a filtering sump for a salt water reef tank can be a pain. So many different potential connectors/connections for PVC. Ball valves, gate valves, unions plus elbows and 45 degree elbows. I will be happy when my Local Fish Store gets my sump in so I can just be done with it one way or another.

Sports Guy

The sports guy at espn.com really just makes me laugh.

Lawn Mowers

I need to buy a lawn mower for a small lawn. I would like an electric because they are better on the environment. But to buy one with a cord seems crazy: just flat out dangerous. I could blow myself up or burn down my house. The cordless ones seem good but a bit costly and do not cut tall grass well. So if I forget to mow the lawn I am in trouble. Ahh decisions decisions.

New Blog

Just decided that because I just moved and am in limbo with my chosen profession that I would start a blog. It will be somewhat political, sports oriented, personal, and who knows what else will come to my mind. Hopefully it will make any who reads it think, laugh, chuckle and who knows what else.
